My approach
I meet individuals face to face in North London, seeing people in their homes or local venues to carry out thorough and evidence-based assessments and plan tailored support and treatment. Where this isn't possible, or there is a personal preference for webcam intervention, I offer this throughout the UK.
I work holistically, seeing not only mental health and wellness needs but physical health and the interactions between the two. I am mindful of people's sensory preferences and challenges and how this too can affect their ability to manage everyday life — including parenting and working with others. I advise on strategies, techniques, aids and equipment to facilitate independence where that is the goal.
I believe in the client being "in the driving seat", with the OT collaboratively and sensitively supporting them in their rehabilitation and growth.
Specialisms & expertise
I have a specialist interest in maternal mental health and extensive experience working with parents adjusting to parenthood. For the past 8 years I have worked with mothers experiencing anxiety, low mood, OCD, ADHD, psychosis, and bonding or relationship difficulties. I understand the impact exhaustion and lack of sleep can have on a parent's wellbeing.
I created and continue to run "The Da Vinci Group" — a unique mental health group supporting professionals to rebuild cognitive skills and social confidence after a period of acute illness.
I trained as an Employment Specialist to complement my Occupational Therapy skills, enabling me to support individuals in returning to meaningful work and advise employers on return-to-work adjustments, strategies, and mental health education.
